8 Best Places for Avocado Toast in Bali (2026)
Bali is an island of avocado toast. Every kitchen with a breakfast menu has one, from the warung with a laminated card to the room with the designer chairs, and at this point it is less a dish than a tax on opening a cafe here. Most of them are fine and forgettable. Bread, mashed avocado, chilli flakes, a wedge of lime, ninety thousand rupiah.
What separates the good ones is not the avocado. The avocado here is excellent everywhere, that is the one thing this island cannot get wrong. It is the bread underneath, whether it has enough structure to hold or turns to paste by the third bite. It is what else is on the plate and whether those things work together or just sit there. And it is the timing, because this is a dish that dies under a heat lamp and half the kitchens serving it have not noticed.
Below they run by where you are rather than by rank: Uluwatu first, then Canggu, Seminyak and Ubud. Three of the eight are on the Uluwatu side, in Bingin and Balangan, which matters if you are staying down there and would rather not drive ninety minutes for breakfast. Where a kitchen publishes its menu we quote what is on the toast and what it costs. Three do not publish one we could open, so their entries say what the place is instead of inventing what is on the bread.

The short version
- Where the kitchen publishes a price, it runs 100k to 115k, and that buys a topping worth ordering.
- On the Uluwatu side: Seed Bingin, Shaffa in Balangan and Saltwood in Bingin, all within fifteen minutes.
- Prawns on it: one kitchen on the island, out of the fourteen whose menus we could read.
- With fish on top: Seed Bingin does it with the catch of the day, Shaffa does salmon and prawn versions.
- Most unusual: Coffee Cartel puts green pea falafel and pickled beets on theirs.
- The room with the fruit in its name: The Avocado Factory in Canggu, since 2018.
- Prices run 100k to 115k at the kitchens that publish them.
- The surprise: Cretya Lite The Extension on Jl. Hanoman in Ubud, unfashionable and genuinely good.
Avocado toast in Uluwatu: Bingin and Balangan
Three kitchens on the Uluwatu side, within fifteen minutes of each other, and between them the two most interesting versions on the island.
1. Seed Bingin – Bingin
Up the hill from Bingin beach, and the only kitchen here that builds it on the catch of the day: fish, avocado, ginger and lemon sauce, seasonal fruit alongside, 100k. Comes out looking like lunch rather than breakfast, which is the right instinct.
Restaurant · 4.7 from 1341 Google reviews · 7:30 AM – 11:00 PM
2. Shaffa GastroBazar – Balangan
Two versions, both on sourdough the kitchen bakes itself. Salmon with spinach, poached egg and sun-dried tomato at 115k, or the prawn one with scrambled eggs at 110k. That prawn version is why this entry exists: of the fourteen kitchens on the island whose avocado toast we could read on a published menu, this is the only one doing it with prawns. It sits in Balangan, ten minutes up the coast from the Bingin end of Uluwatu, which makes it the furthest north you can go for breakfast and still call it an Uluwatu morning. Breakfast menu until two.

3. Saltwood – Bingin
Rye bread rather than sourdough, whipped feta, tomato and dill, 100k. Bingin, small room, and the rye is what makes it hold together instead of going soft under the avocado.
Restaurant · 4.5 from 424 Google reviews · 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Avocado toast in Canggu and Pererenan
Ninety minutes north, where half the island has breakfast.
4. The Avocado Factory – Canggu
Canggu, open since 2018, and the fruit is in the name for a reason: avocado toast, smoothie bowls and cold-pressed juice are the whole proposition. Nearly four thousand people have rated it, which on this island means it survived the Canggu turnover.
Restaurant · 4.5 from 3944 Google reviews · $$ · 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
5. Shelter – Pererenan
Pererenan, two thousand ratings, and a room built for long mornings. Menu not published online in a readable form.
Restaurant · 4.5 from 2041 Google reviews · $$$$ · 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Avocado toast in Seminyak and Kerobokan
The busiest breakfast rooms in the south, and the most unusual topping on this list.
6. Coffee Cartel – Kerobokan
The most unusual plate on this list: avocado smash with green pea falafel, feta and pickled beets, 110k. Kerobokan, coffee-first room, and the kind of menu where the vegetables get as much thought as the eggs.
Cafe · 4.5 from 1561 Google reviews · $$ · 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
7. Sisterfields – Seminyak
The Seminyak institution, seventeen thousand ratings, and the busiest breakfast room in the south. Their menu is not published in a form we could read, so we are not going to tell you what is on the toast, only that this is where half of Seminyak has breakfast.
Cafe · 4.8 from 17185 Google reviews · 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Avocado toast in Ubud
One, and it is not the one anybody recommends.
8. Cretya Lite The Extension – Ubud
The unexpected one, and the reason it is on this list. It sits on Jl. Hanoman in central Ubud, a few steps from the Monkey Forest, and it is the small extension rather than the enormous day club up in the rice terraces that everyone means when they say Cretya. Nobody recommends it. It is not fashionable and it is not trying to be, which is exactly why the avocado toast catches you out: it is genuinely good, and there is no queue for it. All-day brunch alongside a charcoal grill, open eight in the morning to ten at night.

What time do these kitchens serve it?
Breakfast into the afternoon almost everywhere, since this is a brunch dish and Bali brunch runs late. Shaffa serves it until the breakfast menu closes at two, Coffee Cartel and Saltwood keep going through the day.
